Correctly named Capt C Lovell RAMC
Clement was born to Ellen and Henry in Wimborne, Dorset in 1879.
We see Clement pre war in 1911 living at ‘Inglenook’ Beach Road, Emsworth with his brother and is working as a medical practitioner.
He served during the war with the Royal Army Medical Corps and we see in 1914, he is a probatory Officer (Lieutenant).
Having landed in Gallipoli in July 1915, we see him raised to the rank of Captain.
In June 1916, for the Kings Birthday Honours, he is awarded the Military Cross.
In November 1916 he is awarded MID for distinguished service in General Munros dispatch.
In 1921 we find him still living at ‘Inglenook’ and now working as a neurology pathologist. He is working at the Royal Court of the Bridewell and Bethlem in the City of London.
In 1939, we see him living at Bethlem Royal Hospital, Monks Orchard Road. and is still working as a pathologist. His rank as Major RAMC is noted as well as we see he is a serving Special Constable.
Clement died in 1957.
