Awarded to Peter Ewen who enlisted in Glasgow 1932 into the Royal Artillery.
From his Certificate of Service we can see Peter went to France with the BEF in September 1939 to be rescued from Dunkirk in June 1940. He then was home for 2 years before transferring to the Army Catering Corps and was then posted overseas to North Africa and the 8th Army.
Peter served 12 years with the colours.
Also present is his release book and a typed history of what the Doncaster KOYLI did in the Desert War. A good read with a named list of decorations earned by the regiment.
