Alfred born St Peters Sheffield served pre 1902 in the 4th West York’s Militia

He joined the KRRC on 6th November 1902 aged 18 years 10 months a bricklayer by trade

He gave his father Josiah as NOK of 214 Holme Lane, Hillsborough, Sheffield

He served at

home 6/11/02 – 8/4/03

South Africa 9/4/02-28/6/04

Home 29/6/04-20/8/14

BEF 21/4/14 – 9/2/19  with 14th Field Ambulance

Home 9/2/19- 11/3/19 discharged sick with bronchitis aged 35

According to his records he died post war and his wife given a pension her addresses given as

Sarah Wood, 43 Wells Ave, Sheffield

And 35 Palgrove Crescent, Parsons Cross Estate, Sheffield


(He is also entitled to a 1914 Star with clasp and roses and a Victory Medal)
