Cadet Forces Medal on original ribbon named to Act Flt Lt GL Wallace RAFVR (T)

George Liddell Wallace was born on 6th October 1888 in Whitehaven Cumberland

He joined the RAF on 9th July 1918 as a Pte2

He was Class G 13/1/1919 and discharged 3rd April 1920 his address given as 9 Abbey Road Exeter

1st of February 1941 he is a Pilot Officer RAFVR (T) number 66713

Awarded the Air Cadet Medal 25 Jan 1951

LG 1954 shows him relinquishing his commission with rank of Flight Lieut

According to a newspaper he served as Squadron Leader for Air Defence Cadets for Walsall boys. There are several photocopies of newspaper articles mentioning him as Sqd Ldr of the Walsall Squadron Air Defence Cadet Corps
