A commission scroll to Lieut (later captain) John Edward Carbery McGuire, RAMC. A new Zealand doctor died 10th September 1918 in London from typhoid contracted whist working at a hospital he served as medical officer to Worcestershire Regiment. At one stage being buried in a dressing station by a shell blast blocking the entrance, he looked after his charges ensuring their wellbeing, entitled to a pair more research required a loverly scroll to a brave medical officer who gave his life caring for others
