WWII Pair unnamed as issued
John Mathews was born to Harry and Elizabeth in Quidhampton, Wiltshire in 1892.
He served with the 1/4th Bn Somerset Light Infantry. These fought in the Middle East Campaign.
We find him in 1921 working as a farm labourer living at 46, Horningsham, Warminster.
He married Lily Beatrice Day in 1919.
They had their son, Eric in 1923.
The lot comes with the individual paper envelopes as well as the flatted lid of the transmittal box with main envelope.
The WWII lot also comes with its transmittal box.
All medals come with original silk ribbons.
