Correctly named medal 3450 Pte F Coleman Glouc Rgt

Medal has 3 clasps, Transvaal, Orange Free State and Cape Colony. All officially riveted. Ghost dates are visible.

Frederick was born circa 1872 in Coleford near the Forest Of Dean, Gloucestershire.

He attested on the 7th November 1891 aged 19 when he was working as a moulder, probably a brick-maker. He served in India from 1892 until 1894 then in South Africa from 1900 until 1903.

He was discharged in 1903 after time served as a Lance Corporal.

He died in 1941 due to thrombosis. An address we found for him then is 6 Woodland Terrace, Stroud.

His papers survive online.
