William Knott a coopersmith born  Portsmouth 11th feb 1858 in 1881 Census living with his parents George and Phillis at 20 Cross Street, Alverstoke Hampshire. He entered the Royal Navy in March 1882  he served on various ships and at Portsmouth dock yard before being pensioned in 1902

His LSGC was awarded 2 May 1892

Comes with  a photocopy of his service record and a brief typed up history about him
