Frank George Edwards was born 9th November 1874 in Bow occupation watchkeeper

Joined 9 November 1892 aged 18 he served on various ships until being discharged to RFR on 12 Dec 1902

His service then resumes 2nd August 1914 aboard HMS Aboukir until 22nd September 1914 when HMS Aboukir, Hogue and Cressey were sunk by a single Uboat in a very sad episode early in the war for the Royal Navy with many old reservists lost when the 3 ships sank

Frank survived and spent the rest of the war in store establishments

It is a lovely group worthy of more research
