Jesse/Jessie was born in Hampstead Middlesex and lived in Leytonstone Essex. He was serving with the 87th Field Company RE as part of the 12th Eastern Division when he took part in the Attack Of Ovillers. He was wounded and later died on the 6/7/1916 in No 38 Casualty Clearing Station. He went to France initially in October 1915.

It is recorded that he lived at 32 Park Grove Rd. He was married to Lucy. He is buried at Heilly Station Cemetery, Mericourt L’abre.

On a long length of original (worn) silk ribbon.
