James entered France 17th November 1915 .

Whist serving with c Coy 1st /7th battalion London regiment he was at a convalescent camp 29th January 1916 until 9th February 1916 with Bronchitis.

Also served with corp of hussars in 1st Battalion County of london yeomanry and was serving in Ireland when he died of influenza on active service 2nd November 1918 .

Next of kin was his widow Sarah Golding addresses 173 Bethnal Green Rd e2 & 53 great Eastern bldgs, quaker St, Whitfield.
