He was seconded to the Canadian Army Pay Corps and spent a lot of time in Seaford, Sussex.

He was born in 1892 in Streatham and enlisted in 1915 in Victoria, British Colombia. He was at the time a law student. He was a guardroom Sgt.

Please note the partial erasure of the engraving but there is enough there to obtain his details. His papers are online.
