Correctly named pair to 5678 Sjt J Amos South Lanc R

John was born in 1883 and enlisted into the army in 1898. We are unsure of any medal entitlement prior to WW1 but he is entitled to a LSGC medal. John also enlisted into the Royal Flying Corps with the service number 92008 where he attained the rank of WO Class 1. On his MIC, a footnote states his admission into a Mental Hospital. He is entitled to a Silver War Badge which would be numbered B87362.

In 1939, we find him registered as a lunatic and residing at Long Grove Hospital, Horton Lane, Epsom Surrey.

John died aged 63 in 1946. The fob medal appears to be silver, awarded to Sergt Amos.
