Correctly named pair 46741 Pte J Barnard RW Fus

James was born in Norfolk in 1891 and lived at 27 Norfolk St Kings Lynn. He enlisted in Liverpool in December 1915 and served until October 1917 when he was discharged as medically unfit. He served as 35410 in the Liverpool Regiment before moving to the RWF.

He is entitled to a Silver War Badge numbered 251870. He served for 13 months in France from June 1916 with the 4th Garrison RWF.

James suffered with anaemia and had some issues after an appendix operation which contributed to his discharge.
