Not the BWM & Victory have his surname as Lawrie.

Robert was born in 1886 in Kirkcaldy, Fife. His address is given as 44 Salisbury St, Kirkcaldy. He served with the 10th/11th Battalion. He went to France 1/6/1915.

He was awarded a Silver War Badge, 246858. (not present with the group. He was discharged in August 1917 with the cause being noted as traumatic neurasthenia. According to diaries, August 1917, the 10/11th Battalion were at Winnezeele starting to head west to Ypres where they arrived on the 18th August at Square Farm. Passchendaele, the Third Battle of Ypres had begun 19 days earlier.

He has 2 MIC’s, Laurie, which notes his Trio and Lawrie, which has him awarded just the Pair.

The medals are swing mounted on a clasp with long original silk ribbons.
