A very nice item here a vesta case with C Batty 161st Brigade RFA 1915 – 1919

On front a Scarborough badge and jock engraved

12171 Dvr/A Bdr Arthur “Jock” Wilson was born in Nov 1894 at 17 Bedford St Scarborough. He was an apprentice bricklayer when WW1 came he was one of the 1st to sign up in C Battery 161 Brigade Royal Field Artillery (known as the Scarborough Pals). He entered France on 30th December 1915 he was sadly killed on October 26th 1918 one of 18 of the 139 Scarborough men who served with C Battery to be killed in the war, his Military Medal was announced in London Gazette 17th June 1919


His medal trio and Military Medal were sold at DNW 25 November 2015, it would be nice if his vesta could be reunited with them
