Douglas Thomas marchant was born c1898 at Hollington, St leonards, Sussex.
He served with the 7th battalion r w Kent regt ( formally 11004 r Sussex regt ).
Douglas was wounded in November 1916 and died of wounds 22nd November 1916 aged just 18 years old .
His brother who was serving with the Australian imperial force was killed in action on 29th July.
