Correctly named medal to 6501 Pte A T Bye R Fus.

Arthur Thomas Bye was born in Fairham and served with the 9th Battalion Royal Fusiliers. He was killed in action with the presumed date of May 3rd 1917 which is day 1 of the Third Battle of the Scarpe.

He went overseas on 1/6/1915 so we are missing his 15 Star and War Medal.

He is recorded as living at Ivy Cottage, Attwood Road, Little Row, Maidenhead, Berks with his brother who was also killed. He is remembered on Arras Memorial.

Medal comes with a length of original ribbon and some research (not conducted by us)
