WW1/WW2 Medal Group. Bleckley. Suffolk Regiment from Devon.

Categories: , ,

Correctly named pair  49532 Pte RS Bleckley Suff R. Special Constable Medal named RS Bleckly (please note the misspelled surname)

Richard Sanderson Bleckley served overseas during WW1 with the 2Bn Suffolk Regiment. His Silver War Badge is numbered B253528 which tells us he was awarded it due to wounds.

The SWB is missing it catch. Also included in the group is his WW2 Defence Medal along with his Special Constable Medal complete with 2 clasps for long service, 1947 & 1955.

Also here is a Royal British Legion Lapel badge along with a Devon Special Constable lapel badge, both are enamelled and are in excellent condition.

All medals swing mounted on a clasp for wear on original silk ribbons. Please note the polishing of the Victory Medal, obviously worn with pride and well polished.

This is a great research project as there are quite a few pieces of the puzzle. No further research carried out.
