A very nice complete medal and ephemera group.

1939 star , Africa Star, Italy Star, Defence and War Medals unnamed as issued ( there is no note of an 8th army clasp so he must not have been entitled to one ).

Box named to Mr j f Cole, 48 Carter drive ,Romford, Essex.

Transmittal slip confirming the 5 Medals.

Various photos , paybook etc relating to his service and an interesting newspaper article related to an accident he and his friend had when they crashed into a column of marching soldiers his friend and a soldier being killed in the accident .

James Frederick Cole was born 18th November 1913 .

1939 a flour mill labourer living at West ham in Essex.

He died in January 1988 at Colchester in Essex.
