A very nice unusual group of medals and ephemera relating to 6837 Charles William Albert Wilkinson.
Present is his red service book his mounted ww2 group of unnamed as issued medals . A photo as a sgt with Africa star ribbon sewn on . A cup / plate and pin badge relating to him being part of the Jersey garrison pre the evacuation before the German invasion.
His postwar framed commission certificate and a later framed certificate .
Charles joined the rasc at aldershot in October 1938 .
He served in the British garrison of the Channel Islands until after the fall of France when the Islands we demilitarised.
He later went on to serve in the Middle East.
A regular soldier he served on transferring into reme post war and being discharged after 15 years service . Worthy of more research.
