An interesting group of medals and ephemera relating to po/x102772 cpl William George Brooker Royal marines who served 17th October 1943 to 28th June 1945 with hms copra ( the shore base of combined operations).

1939 star, France and Germany star. defence and war medals unnamed as issued.

Large portrait of William in uniform ,his original certificate of service, a transmittal box named Mr w g Brooker, 21 sedge crescent, weedwood Estate, Chatham, Kent, a slip confirming medals ( in two pieces) .

William George Brooker was a labourer by occupation born 29th August 1915 at Chatham In Kent.

He enlisted at Eastney barracks 5th February 1941 .

See photos for his units hms copra was combined operations so he may have had a very intersting war .
