Correctly named J.52814 AF Cowlin Ord RN

Born in Bishops Lydeard to John and Louisa in 1900 Alfred Frank is seen to be living in 1911 at Lype Cottage, Luxborough, Washford.

He begins his service with the Royal Navy at HMS Impregnable as a Boy I in 1916.

A farmboy is noted as his calling.
He is entitle

He married Grace Virginia Long in 1929.

In 1939, we see him now living at 118 Ledbury Road in Notting Hill, Kensington and working as a chef.
Alfred died in 1960.

The medal has a modern replacement ribbon plus a few edge knocks.
