Correctly named 49017 Pte JT Jones Welsh R

John Thomas Jones was born c1882. Records show him to be from Bron Eifion, Llandwrog in North Wales where some papers have him working as a cotton porter and other have him as a slate quarryman in Denbighshire.

He enlisted into the 3rd Bn Welsh Rgt and served from 12/12/1915. He served in France then Italy. He first went overseas in October 1917.

He was discharged in Dublin in June 1919 where he is seen now to be serving with the 3rd Bn Royal Welsh Fusiliers, he had seen service also with the 1st Bn RWF.

He is entitled to a Pair.
