Albert was born to Frank and Esther in Nantwich in 1882. He married Ellen Wright in 1905 and in 1911, we see him living at 26 Beam Street Nantwich and working as a painter.

He attested for service in December 1915 and went overseas to France in June 1916 with the 12Bn Royal Welsh Fusiliers which was a reserve battalion. He also served with 3Bn.
He served also with the 2/4Bn West Riding Regiment from May 1918. with the service number 26834.
We see from research that Albert was the victim of a gunshot wounding to the head but no dates are recorded.
We know that he returned from France in July 1917 and returned in December 1917 so we can only assume he was home to recover.

We see in 1939, he is still working as a painter and still living at 26 Beam Street, Nantwich.
Albert died in 1954.

The medals are mounted on card for display with original silk ribbons.
