Correctly named 13381 Pte HG Mullis R War R

Herbert George Mullis was born in 1897 to Charles and Elizabeth. In 1911, he is found living at Mill St, Kineton and is working as a ploughboy.

He enlists with the 9th Bn Royal Warwicks and goes overseas to the 2B Balkan Theatre on the 25 of November 1915 where he lands at Gallipoli. He is present with his Battalion at the First Battle of Kut (Siege of Kut Almara) from the 7th of December 1915. A wound report for him is dated 30/5/1916 but Herbert had already succumbed to his wounds and died on the 18th of April 1916.

He is remembered on the Basra Memorial.

He is entitled to a 15 Star Trio.
