ww1 victory on replacement ribbon named to L 7742 pte g t carley e kent r .
George Thomas carley served with 1st Battalion East Kent regt, the Buffs.
He enlisted in 1903 and entered France 7th September 1914 ( being further entitled to a 1914 star with clasp and roses and bwm whereabouts unknown).
He was reported wounded 21st August 1915 at the time the battalion were manning lines on Ypres Salient having took part in 2nd Battle of hooge earlier in the month possibly wounded there.
Discharged due to his wounds 18th November 1916 .
