The 2nd Bn Green Howards had just been fighting in the Battle of Loos at the end of 1915.
Records tell us next of kin lived at Leamside and Thomas himself at West Rainton, Tyne and Wear.
He was released from Germany in December 1918.
The medals has an original silk ribbon.
