Born 13th March 1884 Norwich Norfolk a labourer by occupation.
He joined up 13th March 1902 .
Serving on various ships pre war.
During WW1 he was serving on the rifter HMS Erna part of the Auxiliary Patrol when he was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal for services between 1st February and 31st December 1916
He died in 1920 aged approx 36 years .
His Distinguished Service Medal is in the Fitzwilliam Museum .
Worthy of further research.
