Kenneth Royston ward was a temporary leading Seaman on hms Campbell with over 3 years of zealous and arduous service when he was awarded his dsm for an action involving the sinking of a e boat during the attack by 32 e boats whist escorting convoy fn1160 , hms Campbell also took part in the Norwegian campaign of 1940 and Normandy invasion .
He would further be entitled to an Arctic star .
