William Duncan Mathieson was born 1921 to Angus and Elizabeth.
He first enlisted into the Territorial Royal Artillery in 1937. He served with 540 Light Anti Aircraft Regiment, Royal Artillery.
He had served also with the Argylls.
He was discharged in March 1946 aged 26. An address at that time is noted as 19 Lindsay Avenue, Inverness.
He re-enlisted in September 1948.
William died in 1977 and is buried at Tomnahurich Cemetery, Inverness.
All medals have original silk ribbons.
