Rolls show us he served with both the 1st and 2nd Battalions.

Awarded his GSM with the 2nd Battalion in February 1940, although rolls have his has 1st Battalion. The Battalion was to serve in North Africa as well as the Siege of Malta then later in North West Europe where the 2nd Battalion landed at Gold Beach.

A nice grouping worthy of further research.
