Charles William pewter was born 2nd March 1891 at Bradwell on sea In Essex.

He served in Essex regiment initally then as 6023 & 267248 in 6th Gloucestershire Regiment ( attached to the 3rd and 4th Battalions Kings African Rifles).

He is also entitled to a victory medal (whereabouts unknown).

1939 living at 54 obel Street, battersea, a railway goods checker by occupation.

He died August 1968 at Wandsworth in Surrey.
