WW1 Trio on tatty original ribbon named to 191662 C Saunders.  AB RN

Born 1st June 1880 in Walthamstow, London.

A fitters mate by occupation.

Charles joined the Navy 1st June 1898 for 12 years.

He joined the Royal Fleet Reserve in 1910, his time served and served at various appointments during WW1

He died of inflamed kidneys aged 38 on 26th July 1918 .

His last ship being the HMS  Cambrian

He died in Naval base hospital and was buried at Edmonton Middlesex.

His widow lived 6 Herbert Road Lower Edmonton
