Stephen was born 4th August 1890 at Holcombe.

He served initially with Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry then as 509916 in labour corp probably due to the gunshot wound right shoulder he suffered .

He was discharged in 1919 due to wounds attributed to service .

He lived at the time at breach farm , campton basset , Calne in Wiltshire.

In 1939 a dairy farmer living Manor farm , shaftsbury in Dorset.

He died in Dorset 12th November 1945 .
