Also included is the Army Council slip named to Signalman RJ Rogers.

Reginald John Rogers was born c1911 in Lambeth. His service number was 2366579 and he served with the 7th Armoured Division, Royal Signals.

Papers tell us he was killed in an accident on 21/8/1942. Although the 7th were the victim of friendly fire by the Royal Air Force, the date of Reginalds death doesn’t match any friendly fire dates.

He was the son of George and Elizabeth Jane Rogers of Herne Hill, London.

He was married to Florence May.

He is remembered at Heliopolis War Cemetery in Egypt.
