William was born c1909 at st Mary’s,  Pembroke Dock.

He enlisted 19th May 1927 aged 18 years 255 days .

A Baker by occupation .

During ww2 he served in Africa and Italy being mentioned in despatches LG 29/11/1945 for services in Italy campaign .

He died 1st August 1949 at Royal Naval hospital Malta of a cerebral injury aged only 40 years old .

There is a ek to lsgc as pictured naming unaffected.

His nok was father Archibald howell of 24 high St, pembroke Dock,  Pembrokeshire.

His ww2 medals were sent to william at 59 Balmoral Rd,  Watford,  London. Box inc as pictured .
