A ww2 admiralty slip named to william g l macdonald.  1939 star , Atlantic star and war medals unnamed as issued.

William was an ordinary seaman on board the converted trawler beech that served as a minesweeper in ww2 .

 

June 22nd, 1941, the British minesweeper HMT BEECH (T44), built in 1929, owned at the time of her loss by British Royal Navy and based at Grimsby with the M/S Group 18, was heavily damaged by German aircraft off Scrabster, Caithness and sunk with the loss of all 11 crew.
