A very nice group of medals and ephemera relating to George barnwell Baillie.
Born 10th November 1911.
He enlisted at Glasgow 15th November 1938 as a Territorial, trade on enlistment a grocers assistant.
He served In 230 anti aircraft battery , 74th aa regt Royal Artillery being called out 11th of June 1939 for military service .
He passed a competency to drive test 26th October 1945 whist serving with 61st infantry division signals .
His Territorial Efficiency Medal was issued in 1946 and named to 1434984 sigmn g b Baillie r sigs .
Comes with various letters , his paybook , divisional badges etc see pictures.
He moved post war to Selby in Yorkshire and died in York in 1977.
