Correctly named pair 38062 Pte F Badger R War R

Frederick was born in November 1894 to George and Emily in Clavendon.

In 1911, we find the family living at Oak Farm, Wooton Wawen in Warwickshire.

He served with the 1st Garrison Bn of the Royal Warwick until he transferred to the Base Depot of the Kings Shropshire Light Infantry where he was attached to the 1st Hertfordshire Regiment with the service number 35625. Next we find him with the 6th Garrison Bn of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers with a new service number 68547. Next he is seen with the 2/9th Bn of the Durham Light Infantry with the service number 83155.

He was discharged from the service in December 1919 and noted he suffered malaria.

We find two addresses for him, ‘The Post Office, Llanelly’ and ’39 Wheat Street, Warwick’.

We see he married Gladys Ellen Carvell Price in 1928.

In 1939, we see him working as a postman and now living at 78 Clapham Terrace in Royal Leamington Spa.

He died in 1918.

Both medals have original silk ribbons.
