Correctly named 204597 Pte J Mason LN Lanc R

Joseph served with the 2/4th Bn LN Lancs and most likely went overseas with his battalion in February 1917.

We do find a wound report for him dated November 1917 but no further details.

He was to transfer to the 18th Bn (2nd Glamorgan Bantams) and given the service number
