The Normandy Campaign Medal is a significant tribute to those who participated in the Normandy Campaign of World War II. Commissioned by the Normandy Veterans Association, this medal is available exclusively to veterans of the Normandy Campaign, their next of kin, or direct descendants. The medal features a ribbon comprising the red, dark blue, and light blue colors of the 1939-45 Star, with a flame red center representing the Army, carried on the mission by the Navy. The ribbon is complemented by two bands of deep navy blue, symbolizing the overall protection of the invasion by the Air Force. The official dates of the campaign are inscribed on the extended ramp of the tank landing craft depicted on the reverse side of the medal.
