A nice collection pertaining to 14387863 Gunner Stanley Howells, Royal Artillery.

Stanley, born in 1913 we see his family residing at 10 Catherine Street in Pentre, Rhondda, Glamorgan, South Wales.

Stanley was a carpenter by trade.

Included in the lot is his call up papers dated the 7th of November 1942.

His medal entitlement is to the five medals, 1939/45 Star, Italy Star, France & Germany Star with the War and Defence Medals.

His Soldiers small book is present and it is noted there he served in the Far East though no medal was awarded him.

He served with the 180th and 32nd Field Regiments of the Royal Artillery and the 32nd did indeed serve in the Far East.

A lot of ephemera with this lot including his Release Book, Record of Service card,Certificate of Transfer to the Army Reserve, his National Service Armed Forces Act grade card.

Also there is a cabinet portrait of Stanley as well as six 100000 Reichmark banknotes, Pre the Nazi era, when Germany were suffering under the hyper inflation. Its nice that all six notes are number concurrent.

His medals are in a frame, held in by drawing pins along with his (loose) dogtags.

Also there is an embroidered napkin of the Royal Artillery cap badge.
