Ww1 pair on original ribbons named to 21-922 pte g nesbitt north’d fus.

George nesbitt was born c1897 at Newbiggin/ Woodburn Northumberland.

He served with 21st Northumberland fusiliers ( 2nd Tyneside scottish).

Initially noted as missing in a report 2nd December 1917 he was later thought to have been killed in action the date given as 19th October 1917 during the battle of Passchendaele around the broenbeek area his unit was fighting ,he was aged 20 and has no known grave being commemorated on the tynecot memorial.

George’s parents Mr and Mrs James nesbitt lived 26 Hirst St, Bedlington, Northumberland.
