Correctly named G/23057 A Cpl EA Davies R Fus

Edward Alexander was born approx 1896.

He enlisted into the 26th (Bankers) Battalion of the Royal Fusiliers.

He served in field from approx January 1916 earning his Pair having enlisted in November 1915.

A wound report found for him dated 24/9/1918 tells us his next of kin are from Rhyl in North Wales.

We see from further research that he received burns to his face whilst attached to the 238 Employment Company.

He is entitled to a Sliver Wound Badge (not present) numbered B319258.

He was discharged from service in September 1919 aged 23.

An index card has an address for him living in London at 18 Gordon Square, WE.

The medals are court mounted on original silk ribbons with a clasp for wear.
