Correctly named 42876 Pte H Hellard Hamps R

Harold was born in 1899 in Bath, Somerset.

He enlisted into the 2nd Bn Hampshire Regiment and serves from January 1917 earning himself the correct entitlement of the Pair.

We note he transferred to the 5th Bn and with this came a new service number 45074.

His index card lets us know he did have a gunshot wounding to his left shoulder.

We know he was discharged in March 1919 with a Silver War Badge numbered B214246 (not present).

It also lets us know a few known addresses for Harold.

35 James Street, Bath
8 Queens Parade, Bath.

A little further research leads us to believe he married Olive Wales in 1920 whilst living at 191 Neath Road, Swansea.

In 1921, we find the pair living at 2 Graig Road, Alltwen, Pontardawe, Swansea, with Harold working as an insurance agent.
