1911 An assistant in fishmongers living at 3 railway cottages , Hutton Ambo in Yorkshire.

Enlisted 3rd September 1914 .

He entered France 11th May 1915 .

Served with the 162nd brigade Royal Field Artillery.

Wounded 11th July 1916 suffering a gunshot wound to his head he was hospitalised until 31st October 1916 .

He must have been medically down graded as he was transferred to 410 agricultural coy labour corp under number 238143 .

He was discharged class z 21st March 1919 .
