William Edwin lea was born c1894 at lower peaover, Knutsford, Cheshire.

1911 a jewelers apprentice still living with his family at lower peaover .

He entered France serving with 10th Battalion rifle brigade 21st July 1915 and noted wounded as a cpl 26th October 1916 and was commissioned 25yj September 1917 .

1921 he lived mount pleasant ,wilmslow a watchmaker and jeweler by occupation.

He died aged just 38 at Cheshire joint sanatorium on 27th October 1931 and was buried in St oswalds churchyard in lower Peover.
