Henry was born in Shelton in 1879.

He married Annie Gertrude Winstanley in 1905.
An address we find for him is 48 Lime Street, Tunstall.

A brick and tile presser by trade, he enlisted into the 9th Bn Royal Fusiliers and went overseas with them in July 1915.

He was wounded by a shell at the Battle of Loos in the left knee in October 1915.

He transferred to the Military Foot Police in January 1917.

He was later discharged as medically unfit.

In 1921, still a brick presser, he is then living at 49 Windmill Street in Tunstall.

Henry died in 1935.

The medals are mounted onto card for display with original silk ribbons.
