Phillip rundle was born at bodmin Cornwall 15th February 1883 on enlistment he is listed as a labourer by occupation.
He joined on 15th February 1901 serving pre ww1 on some notable ships inc hms lion , hood , Agincourt etc .
He joined hms leander ( hms griffon a torpedo boat destroyer) at Scapa flow on 18th April 1912 and served aboard her until August 1915 .
He later served on Duke of Edinburgh and hms Wallington ( General wolfe ) a monitor with a 18 inch gun .
He was awarded his medals whist serving on board hms Dauntless in the early 1920s.
Pensioned into the Royal Fleet Reserve in 1922 .
